We've all been there. We watched some HGTV show, saw Joanna Gaines' new line at Target, or talked to the neighbor who just renovated their home. Then- we got the "itch". The itch to knock down some walls, paint something a different color, or buy new furniture!
If you're nodding your head in agreement and have the itch to renovate your kitchen but don't want to spend a TON of money, this blog post is for you. My close friend decided to tackle her kitchen during COVID to make it more her style. She didn't have to demo anything, but she did have to paint and redecorate a bit. She was able to give her kitchen a brand new look for under $3,500. Let me show you some before and after pictures so you can see for yourself. Below you will find the TIPS!
Tip #1: Paint Cabinets
You can go with a timeless white color or you can get creative and choose a color that pops! It is totally up to you.
Tip #2: Change Hardware
The black handles on the cabinets make such a statement against the white cabinets. You can even go one step further and change the sink faucet if you so desire.
Tip #3: Change Countertop
This is one of the more expensive items but makes the biggest difference! Sometimes, you can find granite/quartz on sale so that can save you some $$.
Tip #4: Add Shelves
Shelves make SUCH a big difference and can be a focal point in a kitchen. I like to choose wooden shelves because it adds contrast to the rest of the kitchen, regardless of the color paint you choose.
Tip #5: Change Sink
I don't know about you, but I am always looking for a bigger sink! Not only is a bigger sink more functional, but it gives a kitchen a more refined look as well. You can see the new beautiful farmhouse sink in the picture below.
**The backsplash was already there but that is another TIP that makes a huge difference (if you don't already have or don't like)!
Those are the top tips to renovating your kitchen without breaking the bank. I hope this helped and if it did, please share this post or tag me on instagram @sarahh__june_realtor!

"Libby is an awesome agent. She clearly listens to your needs and searches diligently for the right fit. It saves a ton of time having someone so knowledgeable about the local market. she works hard to settle any minor issues and always has her clients best interest in mind. Securing a deal is important to her but not at the expense of her clients. It is more about relationships to her than profit. What a special person to know and work with. "
