If you are looking to sell, taking the first couple months to prepare the house for selling may be worthwhile aka more money in your pocket. Interest Rates Much like the market, these too will continue to rise. The sooner you act, the better interest rate you will be able to secure.You may be able to buy down your interest rate. How much you would need to do so depends on your loan amount, though usually you can expect to pay 1% of the loan to bring down the interest rate by 1 percent. Actual rates vary on situation and lender.
